Transit and Crypt

Coefficients of Place

The threshold is not a thin line, but a spatial manifold, a place in its own right - thick - and, therefore, not a limit in the ordinary sense of the word. Setting worlds of constructive possibilities prospectively before and retrospectively behind us, the threshold only appears as a moment between the two seeming incommensurables of inside and outside. Inside and outside actually extend, penetrate, and proliferate interminably within each other. There is, therefore, and for the most part, transition and passage - unrest - with only ever fleeting moments of intimacy and repose.
